The MICHELIN Tyre Pressure Checker is a quick, convenient and cost-effective way to keep on top of tyre pressures on almost any type of light vehicle with a tyre valve fitted.
On a typical car, it enables the driver to check all four pressures accurately within just 30 seconds, and without needing to connect a pressure gauge to the valve, which is unhygienic and removes air from the tyre.
Designed to be universal, it can be used on everything from bicycles, mopeds, scooters, motorbikes, cars, 4x4s, vans, minibuses, motorcaravans and light-duty trailers (including towed caravans and horsebox trailers).
How does it work?
MICHELIN Tyre Pressure Checker includes a set of four pressure sensors to replace the dust cap on each tyre you wish to monitor.
To obtain a pressure reading (accurate to within 1.5 psi), simply switch on the supplied pressure checking device and hold it against the sensor. The pressure will be shown on a backlit LCD screen, making it easy to use in daylight or darkness. Readings can be toggled between psi and bar.
There are no batteries in the sensors (they work using Near-Field Communication technology), and the pressure checker can be recharged via the supplied USB cable.
The system is designed for use on tyres with an operating pressure of up to 86 psi. It should not be fitted to HGVs.
Why should you fit it?
Many latest generation vehicles feature TPMS as standard, yet access to pressures is often buried in sub-menus, or sometimes not accessible unless a tyre issue has been detected.
Yet with MICHELIN Tyre Pressure Checker, no matter how old your vehicle, access to precise pressure readings are just seconds away.
Most vehicle and tyre manufacturers advise tyre pressures be checked at least once a month and before any long journey, to support safe and efficient motoring. MICHELIN Tyre Pressure Checker makes keeping on top of tyre pressures simpler than ever before.
