Established for over 50 years, Newman Cams is a British manufacturer based in Kent, specialising in the production of camshafts for the performance and racing market. The company manufactures performance parts for all of the major automotive brands to include, of course, the BMW MINI.
Back in 1967 David Newman began creating camshafts on a modified cam grinder for the Rootes Motor Company (later bought by Peugeot). After growing interest, the company began to expand and diversify, though camshafts for sports car and motorcycle engines continued as the mainstay of the business. Testament to their elite performance, Newman Cams have produced performance camshafts for F1, F3, BTCC, ETCC, DTM, FIA, GT Le Mans, MOTO GP and more.
Throughout their history, the company have often found themselves lacking in capacity and so have scaled up to meet the demands of the market. Eager to innovate and satisfy the needs of the performance industry, the Newman cams estate has grown to incorporate facilities and equipment seen nowhere else in the UK.
