The LEAP Omicron R53 MINI Cooper S Bonnet Scoop was designed with a larger top lip to increase airflow onto the intercooler, and reduce its velocity and turbulence. It is a direct bolt off / bolt on replacement of the original MINI scoop, utilising 4 stainless steel bolts embedded within the material, but with a bigger, enlarged, more aggressive design providing better cooling performance - real-world tests have found a decrease of 5°C in inlet temperatures!
Its robust design and detailed fabrication guarantee its durability in all weather conditions and has been tested at speeds in excess of 100mph to ensure rigidity and ability to cope with high engine temperatures.
Please note that these are fibreglass items, and although every effort is made for the fit to be 100%, due to the manufacturing process and material, a small amount of prep may be required prior to installation.
Please allow approx 3 weeks for the painted option to be complete.
Please note that you may have to remove the standard under bonnet intercooler diverter for the bigger scoop to fit.
