GRS Motorsport R53 Front Mount Intercooler FMIC

This intercooler was designed over a long period of time. Having the right sized core made and pipe work diameter and construction of the inlet & outlet horns have been critical. Using a bigger core experienced too much boost loss as a supercharger can only pump a certain amount of volume of air at any one time.

This type of intercooler has been very popular for race/track day cars where more demands on charge air cooling are needed. The down side is you can’t use your air-con as there isn’t enough room. Most race/track day cars want to keep their cars weight to a minimum so the air-con is normally one of the first items to be removed.

The intercooler is supplied finished in black, with blue hoses.
