Out of stock notices on products and options are manually added and removed. These will not be updated while we are away, so may not be correct. Stock will still be allocated to your order if available, but we will notify you of any backorders upon our return.

We highly recommend ordering on our eBay Shop if you want to make sure you are ordering a stocked item. We update eBay stock automatically behind the scenes, so the stock shown is what we have available.

16 x stud and nuts to convert your MINI from bolts to studs.

These screw into your hub with an allen-key. Essential in saving time for track use when regularly removing wheels, or for general ease of maintenance. All studs are made from 10.9 steel.

Please note, these are supplied as singles to allow you to mix sizes, front and back, if required.

A good quality thread lock must be used when installing these. We recommend Loctite 270, 271, 2700 or 2701, available to buy here.

Open ended wheel nuts are also required.

Length - Hub/Threaded/End
68mm - 15mm/40mm/13mm
75mm - 15mm/47mm/13mm
82mm - 15mm/54mm/13mm
90mm - 15mm/62mm/13mm

The thickness of the brake disc and wheel is approx 20mm. Subtract this from the threaded length of the stud to determine the amount left for spacers and nuts. Note that the end of the studs are unthreaded.

Please note the black nuts are not "show quality", due to the painted / powder-coated finish, and how they are packaged from the manufacturer. Chips and blemishes may be present.

Please note that the locking wheel nut key socket has a closed end, which can hit the end of the stud if you're running long studs. A solution to this is to run shorter studs, or by drilling a hole in the end of the key to allow the stud to pass through.

Please note that late, but not all, R53 cars require the R56 size studs, so require the bigger nuts. Please check your car by removing and measuring a wheel bolt - it will either be M12 (12mm) or M14 (14mm).

Example stud, nut and spacer combinations:

  • No spacers, short nuts (25mm long, 25mm threaded)
    • 75mm studs - 25mm of nut threaded (fully threaded), stud approx 15mm outside the end of the nut
    • 82mm studs - 25mm of nut threaded (fully threaded), stud approx 22mm outside the end of the nut
    • 90mm studs - 25mm of nut threaded (fully threaded), stud approx 30mm outside the end of the nut
  • 11mm spacers, short nuts (25mm long, 25mm threaded)
    • 75mm studs - NOT RECOMMENDED
    • 82mm studs - 23mm of nut threaded, stud approx 11mm outside the end of the nut
    • 90mm studs - 25mm of nut threaded (fully threaded), stud approx 19mm outside the end of the nut
  • 15mm spacers, short nuts (25mm long, 25mm threaded)
    • 75mm studs - NOT RECOMMENDED
    • 82mm studs - 19mm of nut threaded, stud approx 7mm outside the end of the nut
    • 90mm studs - 25mm of nut threaded (fully threaded), stud approx 15mm outside the end of the nut
  • 20mm spacers, short nuts (25mm long, 25mm threaded)
    • 75mm studs - NOT RECOMMENDED
    • 82mm studs - NOT RECOMMENDED
    • 90mm studs - 22mm of nut threaded, stud approx 10mm outside the end of the nut

Please note that these studs are classed as "track car" items, and due to the sheer volume that they are made, packaged and shipped in, marks and blemishes are normal. Some studs may have small variances between each other, especially due to large batches being mixed. We will do our best to ensure all studs are the same, but this cannot be guaranteed.
